Only your kind of job

No water heater swaps, window replacements or rooftop AC units. We filter out the noise so you only see the permits that need your specific trade.

Common Questions

Where does the data come from? +

The City of Austin's published records of issued building permits. Every row includes the permit number and a link to the city's own page for it.

Are these people asking for my service? +

No. A permit means work is planned or underway, not that anyone requested a quote. Think of the list as knowing where the work is, early.

What area does it cover? +

Permits issued by the City of Austin, which covers the city limits. Suburbs with their own permit offices aren't included yet.

What does "Austin permits, past 2 yrs" show? +

How many City of Austin building permits that contractor pulled in the two years before the week. A 0 means none, which often means they haven't worked much in the city and may not have local vendors yet. It counts permits only; it doesn't say how long a company has been around.

Can I get it more often than weekly? +

Daily updates are coming. Mention it when you sign up and we'll put you on the early list.

Can I cancel? +

Anytime. No contract, no minimum commitment.
